My Heart’s Home is creating intentional, intergenerational, accessible communities for people with diverse needs.

My Heart’s Home communities will serve the needs of populations such as people with developmental disabilities, wounded warriors, and adults who wish to age in place. Residents will THRIVE in these caring communities where they can socialize, recreate, work, and volunteer.

  • Various housing models designed to accommodate the needs of targeted populations with security cameras and protocols

  • An on-site nursing suite

  • Opportunities for residents to socialize and recreate, including a gymnasium, pool, media room, bowling alley, movie theater, arts and crafts center, meeting rooms, and basketball courts

  • Places to volunteer and/or work, including supporting the well-being of retired racehorses, and helping to run a service dog academy that uses shelter puppies and young adult dogs to promote the independence of wounded warriors and people with developmental disabilities on-site and in communities across the country

  • Board Certified Behavior Analysts, speech therapists, occupational therapists, mental health professionals, physical therapists, and job coaches to provide therapies and to provide appropriate and individualized accommodations/adaptations for each resident

  • Transportation to regularly-scheduled field trips and volunteer opportunities in the community
